On My Use of Foul Language
I wrote a longer, misspelled article on this subject (“Why I Use Fowl Language”), but a shorter explanation might be in order.
For a generally Christian website, I frequently use foul, crude, and abrasive language. I also sometimes write obscene descriptions, display offensive images, engage in hateful diatribes, and make jokes of questionable taste.
It mainly comes down to the purposes of my writing. I write as a besieged Christian commentator from the gutters and the trenches, where niceties often amount to frivolities. Our surrounding society has fallen to the point of depravity and apostasy, and I see the churches full of weaklings who are too afraid to offend. These times aren’t for the faint of heart, and I aim to push back against the enemies of Truth and Faith, and to fight.
For these broken times, I write in the language of honesty and the language of war. And oftentimes, that language isn’t pretty.
